Chinua Asuzu

Chinua Asuzu is the author of several works, including Anatomy of a Brief; Fair Hearing in Nigeria; Judicial Writing: A Benchmark for the Bench; and The Uncommon Law of Learned Writing.

Chinua served as an administrative-law judge at the Tax Appeal Tribunal in Nigeria from 2010 to 2016. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Senior Partner of Assizes Lawfirm.

Chinua is also the dean of The Write House, the organization that teaches legal writing all over Nigeria and beyond. Chinua’s expertise runs the gamut of legal writing: academic legal writing, briefwriting, judicial writing, law-business writing, legislative drafting, litigation drafting, and transactional drafting. Chinua is happiest when helping agencies, courts, law firms, law schools, legal departments, and legislative houses improve their drafting and writing.
